2012-04-11 Laboratory Module Meeting

Participants - Roger, John, Sathyan, Hemanth

- The document Roger created is a high-level overview of the structure of the lab module, as he interpreted it from Nancy's sitemaps and flows in the Task Flows PDF document. We all agreed that the Task Flows document is a bit overwhelming.
- At this point, Roger is mostly concerned with what functionality will be in the rest of the module so that he can write the appropriate API calls and helper methods. Nailing the details of the Specimen Collection is not as useful to him right now.
- Roger suggested starting with the "Landing Page" and "Paper Entry" sections from his document, noting that they only have to make calls to OpenMRS and therefore would be easier to get up and running. Roger feels like it would be useful to have some sort of base/reference to build off of.
- In our wireframes, it would be useful to create a key that explains which data goes with which widget.

The plan:
- It seems like we want to flesh out the rest of the flows at a very basic level, starting with the Paper Entry and Landing Page areas. We can then take another pass at the module to nail down the interaction design.
- Sathyan will be working on the Paper Entry and Landing Page areas. He will also be mapping what we have in the Task Flows document to the corresponding Extjs widgets.
- John will wrap up his unfinished edits from last week, and will take a stab at making the overall structure of the module more comprehensible. He'll follow up with Sathyan to see if he needs help on anything during the week.
- Roger will do a quick sketch of what he thought the Paper Entry area might look like and will send that out to John & Sathyan.

- We will meet at the same time each week to go over progress and ask questions
