Discuss OPD Design

  • Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology icons on top right

  • History Tab and Lab Order Designs

    • "canonical" patient history includes "Review of Systems" - put this in History Tab? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Review_of_systems

      • Chief Complaint

      • History of Present Illness

      • Past Medical/Surgical History

      • Current Medications

      • Family History

      • Social History

      • Review of Systems

General header issues

  • Module names, logos, user ID, timestamp, etc...


Open Issues:

  • should we have buttons in the top right (to link to lab, radiology, etc) in the top menu bar?

    • LOTS of options, I think, in long run (view EKGs, etc, every other possible kind of report/test/etc)

  • does it make more sense to put lab in the main OPD workflow or not?

    • history->examination-> LAB/DATA -> diagnosis -> treatment

  • when is it OK to push all the UI elements (4 tabs, etc) out of the way in OPD?

    • viewing lab history

    • viewing radiology orders

    • viewing medication history?

  • what should be present in the history view?

    • History,Examination,Diagnosis, Treatment

      • if this, then which types of history?

        • canonical history

        • innovative angle on history

      • how structured should data input be for history?

        • e.g. fields for social history

        • e.g. all body regions for canonical history

    • SOAP

      • familiar with doctors : subjective, objective, assessment, plan

    • Innovative approach (Present, Past?)
