Brainstorming Notepad
Nice-to-haves for an inventory management system/pharmacy inventory management:
-A way to look around the room and find exactly what you want. Every shelf/cupboard has it's own location with items inside. Could be relative to a location's GPS coordinates, or x,y,z coordinates with a corner of the room at (0,0,0). The pharmacist/admin can take a picture of the room, and set up the different locations. Now, finding everything is so much easier!
-A way to save common drug requisitions/purchase orders, then we don't have to select which drugs/quantites we want. Click one 'order more antibiotics' and away we go!

How to avoid duplicate patients? AMPATH in Kenya has a big problem with this. In our registration design, we have a new table coming with possible matches after a patient's data is entered. Options are:
- Checking strings such as name + village + phone for possible similarities
- National ID cards
- Phone number + phone serial number
- Biometrics such as fingerprint, voice, vitals
